The engine stand shown in the gallery below was designed against the Mills diesel I
am building. However it is adjustable to some degree for other engines.
The construction is quite simple and matches the basic dimensions of the Mills. The
clamping methodology is simple and relies on the same principle used in the
clamping of items on the milling machine. Where the point of contact is at a lower
point than the opposite end held on packing material.

The stand is not completed s I wish to use a round nose mill to mill a slot for the bar
packing to rest on. Also the clamps need finishing to size. Its one of those things
where trying to start the engine takes precedent over finishing touches...a fault I
know I have!
