Repairing the rear wheel arch on my Mk2 Jaguar 340
Because of mobility issues I cannot work on the car below the waist level. This is frustrating because I have a good skill set with welding and srpaying. (I enjoy model engineering and more recently, wood turning) so the main work being done is by Steve (owns Brixham Car Accessories). However he did let me have the offside rear wheel spat to 'play with.
So this is how I repaired the spat before handing back to Steve. I am hoping that the car will be returned soon with the bodywork done. When it comes home I will place a picture here.

A piece of paper and a dirty finger soon gets the profile to cut the metal to the correct shape
Simple scrap bar to the same curvature makes bending to shape easier.
Trial fitting several times gets you there in the end.
Tack welding in place is important before welding all the way around.
The metal now let in and the next stage is to add weld (therefore metal) to any holes or indentations before cleaning up prior to painting. I use flap abrasive discs in my angle grinder.
