1st March 2008 session 14

Well today is the first chance I have had to get into the workshop for a few days
and it was a brief but productive session. I had to turn down a steel stub for the
crankcase to slide over. I did not have the same tap as Ron states in his
instruction article but thought a 0 BA would be a suitable substitute.

After cutting the treads in the steel stub I made the corresponding bolt from
hexagonal bar. For some reason the threads on the bolt did not seem to match
very well so I decided to re-tap the steel bar 6mm and this worked fine so I then
secured the crankcase and turned down the nose until just round (see below),
ready for a three degree taper as the next task. Which will have to take place in
the next session........As I said short and sweet....

Time spent today 1 hour. Total to date 27 hours.
